+01Why people switch builders

Most projects don't fail on the big stuff.

They fail on the small things nobody owned. So we own all of them.

Ghosted after the deposit.→One owner. One number. Answered.
The price kept climbing.→Line-item quotes. Changes priced before work starts.
Left guessing for weeks.→A written schedule and a weekly update.
A site that looked like a war zone.→Thorough cleanup after every shift. A store ready to welcome customers.
+02What we build

One builder for the whole job.

Ground-up or remodel, home or business. Scope, schedule and budget stay under one roof, so you always know who is responsible.

01

Commercial construction

Offices, retail, restaurants and mixed-use buildings. For operating stores, we plan work around closing time to keep disruption and downtime to a minimum.

02

Custom homes

Houses built around the way you live, by a builder who answers the phone.

03

Renovations and additions

Remodels, fit-outs and additions, phased around your home or business. After-hours store work helps avoid days of lost trading.

04

Design-build

Design and construction under one contract. Fewer handoffs, faster answers, one team responsible.

05

Pre-construction

Budgets, permits and schedules worked out before anyone breaks ground.

06

Construction management

Owner-side oversight of cost, quality and safety on bigger or multi-contractor jobs.

+Built around your business

You close up. We get to work.

Your store should not have to lose days of business for work that can happen after closing. We plan repairs and renovations around your trading hours, with thorough cleaning before the next opening.

AFTER HOURS

Work around closing time.

We schedule work after your store closes and phase the job to keep you trading. We agree on access, work areas and reopening needs before we start.

EXCEPTIONAL CLEANING

Clean enough to welcome customers.

Store cleaning is part of the job. We protect surrounding areas, remove work debris and thoroughly clean the work area and affected store surfaces after every shift.

ONGOING CARE

Repairs and maintenance experts.

From everyday wear to recurring upkeep, we handle ongoing store repairs and maintenance with the same care as a full build. One familiar team to help keep your premises in shape.

+03How we work

Four steps. No surprises.

Most construction trouble lives in the gaps between people. This is how we close them.

Step 01

Walk the site

We visit, measure and listen. You tell us what you need and what you can spend.

Step 02

Get a line-item price

Every cost written out, line by line. If something changes later, you see the price before any work starts.

Step 03

Build, with weekly updates

A written schedule, a clean site and a progress report every week. You never have to chase us.

Step 04

Walk it through together

We walk the finished job with you, close every item on the punch list, and stand behind it with a warranty.

+04The owner

Built on one name.

Sum Builders Corp is owner-led by Arvind Choudhary. When you call, you reach the person whose name is on the business, and Arvind stays on your project from the first site walk to the final punch list.

That is the whole idea behind the name. A building is the sum of thousands of small calls. Get each one right, and the total takes care of itself.

    ?Straight answers

Questions people ask before they call.

Can you work after our store closes?

Yes. We can schedule work around closing time and phase repairs or renovations to help you avoid shutting the store for days. We agree on the work and reopening schedule in advance. If any part of the job needs a longer closure, we explain that before work starts.

Will the store be cleaned before we reopen?

Yes. We take exceptional care with store cleaning: protecting surrounding areas, removing work debris and thoroughly cleaning the work area and affected surfaces after each shift. Cleanup and reopening checks are part of the agreed plan.

Do you handle ongoing repairs and maintenance?

Yes. Ongoing repairs and maintenance are a core part of our work. We can help with individual repairs and planned upkeep, scheduled around your store's operations. Tell us what needs attention and we will work out the scope and timing with you.

What happens if the plan changes mid-project?

You get a written price for the change before any work on it starts. Nothing is added to your bill without your sign-off.

How will I know how the job is going?

You get a written schedule at the start and a progress update every week, plus a direct line to Arvind.

    How do payments work?

Payments follow the work, on a schedule written into your contract. You pay for progress you can see.

    Are you insured?

Yes. We are very experienced, insured contractors, and proof of insurance is available on request.

Do you get better prices on materials?

Yes. We hold contractor accounts with The Home Depot, Lowe's, Sherwin-Williams and Best Quality Lumber in Flushing, NY, and we pass those discounts on to our clients.
